Trained at the prestigious Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts — voice, speech, acting, and dance — Althea folds reggae, pop, R&B and jazz into her own sound. She also writes, produces, and engineers her own work from her home studio.
Her music has taken her across Europe, North and South America, and to the Micronesian island chain of New Caledonia. After Introducing Althea Hewitt, Stronger (2019), and the My Black Is Strong EP (2020), she returns with her new album Taste of Affection.
